Susan Allott
Represented by Nicola Barr
Susan grew up on the south coast of England and then moved north to study English at the University of Leeds. She had a brief spell living in Australia, where she was horribly homesick, only to return to the UK and meet an Australian man who she went on to marry. Her first novel was inspired by this part of her life.
Nominated for the 2021 New Blood Dagger, Susan’s debut, THE SILENCE, was published by Harper Collins in August 2020, to broad critical acclaim. THE SILENCE was translated into French, Italian and Polish, and in North America THE SILENCE was described by The Wall Street Journal as ‘emotionally wrenching.’
Susan lives in south London with her family, where she is working on her second novel.
