Aqeelah Seedat

Aqeelah was born in the North of England, to a mother and father born in two different African countries. She is South Asian (Indian) and has a Law degree from the University of Manchester. In the past she has worked in retail, teaching and for the crown prosecution service. Her YA Novel was shortlisted for the Future World’s Prize 2021 and she was awarded mentoring with HarperCollins UK.
